FFL Transfers

AMT Arms provides firearm transfer services by appointment for firearms purchased from online retailers, other dealers, and other eligible sources.

$40 per firearm

Before You Order

Please contact AMT Arms before purchasing or arranging shipment of a firearm.

All incoming transfers must be coordinated in advance to ensure someone is available to receive the shipment. Do not have a firearm shipped to AMT Arms without prior confirmation.

Sending Dealer or Retailer

If AMT Arms is already listed as an FFL with your online retailer, you may select AMT Arms during checkout after confirming the transfer with us.

If the seller requires a copy of our FFL, have the selling dealer contact sales@amtarms.com. AMT Arms will provide the necessary license information directly to the seller.

When Your Firearm Arrives

AMT Arms will contact you after your firearm has been received, processed, and is ready for the next step.

Please do not rely solely on the carrier’s delivery notification. A delivery notification means the package has arrived; it does not necessarily mean the firearm is ready for transfer or pickup.

Once processing is complete, we will contact you to arrange an appointment.

Transfer Appointment

Once your firearm has been received and processed, AMT Arms will contact you to arrange a pickup appointment.

At your appointment, the required ATF Form 4473 and background-check process will be completed. The person receiving the firearm must provide the required identification and personally complete all required paperwork.

Firearms can only be transferred when all applicable federal, state, and local requirements have been satisfied.

Background Check Delays

If a background check is delayed, the firearm will remain with AMT Arms until the transfer can lawfully proceed.

AMT Arms will contact you when the firearm is eligible for pickup. A delayed response or projected eligibility date should not be considered confirmation that the firearm is ready for transfer.

Denied or Uncompleted Transfers

If a firearm cannot legally be transferred to the intended recipient, it will remain in the possession of AMT Arms while an appropriate lawful disposition is arranged.

Transfer fees are due once AMT Arms receives and processes the firearm and are not contingent upon successful transfer to the intended recipient.

Return shipping, seller fees, and other costs associated with returning or otherwise lawfully disposing of the firearm are the customer’s responsibility and are not included in the transfer fee.

Any return must be coordinated with the original seller and completed in accordance with applicable requirements.

Pickup & Unclaimed Firearms

AMT Arms does not provide firearm storage services.

Customers are expected to arrange pickup promptly after being notified that a firearm is ready for transfer.

Firearms not picked up within 30 days of notification and without prior arrangements may be returned to the sending dealer or seller when legally permissible. The customer is responsible for return shipping, seller fees, and other costs associated with the return.

If additional time is needed, contact AMT Arms before the 30-day period expires to make arrangements.

NFA Transfers

AMT Arms also provides transfer services for eligible NFA firearms.

$75 per NFA item

The NFA transfer fee includes digital EFT fingerprinting and a digital photo for the Form 4 process.

Please contact AMT Arms before purchasing or arranging shipment of an NFA item.
